The Yellow City
The metropolis of the Purple Land. A caste society — slug-men,
crab-men, dog-men, humans, ulufo, others; each caste has prescribed
quarters, languages, and work.
Vothrog operates underground, distributing handwritten pamphlets
titled “The Slime-Lords Drink What the Wretched Weep”. The
Congregation of the Unwashed meets in the Copper Ghetto
before dawn; the Canal Quarter Safehouse is the cell’s refuge.
The Spice-Factor District is where Constable Uvaris enforces
the movement ordinances. The Merchant Quarter hides the
Cartulary of Three Bells and its excised archives.
South of the city walls lies Old Town — the ruins where
Cheth-of-the-Salt-Shore preached and where the
Salt Shore Disturbance was put down twenty-two years ago.
